Top 6 Most Effective Online Marketing Techniques

If you are trying to get the word out about your blog, your website, your products or services, or you want to build your customer list or you just want to build your exposure and credibility as an expert in your niche, you need to know the fastest, most effective ways to do it.

What do I mean by "most effective"?  I mean you quickly get your message in front of the most people with the least amount of effort with minimal or no costs… If you are selling something, you get your message in front of actual buyers … not just lookers. You get good search engine rankings so people can find your website … and you'll get fast results.

So, here's the Top 6 most effective online marketing techniques on the Internet today. I'll start with #6 on the list and then move up to #1.

#6 on our list is Article Marketing:  Article Marketing is simply writing & publishing articles that  interest your target market. There are 2 key concepts here: First, you write an interesting, informative article and put a quick benefits-oriented link in the Resource Box in hopes that the reader will click the link and visit your website. The second point, however, is whether the reader clicks the link or not, you have now created a backlink to your website, and the more backlinks you have, the better you will rank on the search engines. #5 of the Top 6 is Forums & Blogs. Forums and blogs follow generally the same logic as article marketing, but the key difference is you'll be writing about topics of specific interest to the clientele of the blog or forum. In other words, they are already interested in what you have to say, and are more likely to click your "signature link" if you make it interesting and beneficial to them.

#4 is to use eBay Classified ads. This one will cost you a tiny amount of money, but the core concept here is people go to search engines to search, but people go to eBay to "Buy"! So, if you are selling something and you draft a good classified ad, eBay is the best place to advertise to serious buyers.

#3 is Press Releases. Look at what you have to offer and figure out how to make it newsworthy. Then write a press release. The beauty of a press release is your announcement could actually end up on the news!  This is maximum exposure for a relatively small cost.

#2 on our list is PPC marketing … PPC stands for Pay-Per-Click. This one can be expensive if you don't know what you're doing, but nothing works as fast to get your ad in front of people specifically interested in what you're offering. The basic concept is to bid on keywords or phrases that "people looking for what you have" … would enter in a search engine.

If they don't enter the keywords you bid, you don't pay. If your ad is displayed, but the customer doesn't click on your link, you don't pay. You only pay when someone enters your keyword AND clicks on your ad. You can start seeing targeted results in minutes with PPC marketing.  

Finally, #1 of the Top 6 most effective online marketing techniques is Joint Ventures. This technique borrows the readership of someone else that already has a large following. The best way to do joint ventures is to offer an enticing freebie in your partner's emailing and capture the name and email of people who respond; this will put them on YOUR list, and you can build a huge customer list fast this way. When you propose your joint venture, however, you need to make it a win-win-win proposition; it has to be good for your JV partner, his readers, and of course you. There is an art to doing this correctly, so you should investigate more before you take this on.
